Genuine USGI Military Canteen Cup with Wire Handles AND Canteen Cup Stove / Stand NSN 8465-00-165-6838 and NSN 8465-01-250-3632 The Genuine US Military 1 Quart Canteen Cup is made of heavy gauge stainless steel. These cups are highly durable and can last a lifetime. The two steel wire handles known as “butterfly” or “wing” handles open out for use, lock in place, and fold flat against the side of the cup for storage. The included Military Issue Stove / Stand is designed to use for cooking or to heat up or boil water and liquids such as coffee or to heat rations such as MRE's, Freeze Dried Meals, Soups, Chilis and Stews. This is a great compact solution for cooking in the field. Solid or Gel Fuel tablets or natural flammable materials such as wood or sticks are placed under the stove. The stove is stored and transported by slipping it over the bottom of the Canteen Cup and Canteen. All 3 of these items fit inside the Canteen Pouch. Canteens, and Pouches can be purchased separately in my Store. The Canteen Cup and Stove Stand are part of a Service member's field kit and they hold and fit the one-quart plastic canteen ( purchased separately link further below ) inside the cup, which fits in the Canteen Carrier / Pouch. We like to think of this as >40% of New condition. Still serviceable for many years with normal use. Good Used Condition Canteen cup shows moderate signs of wear. "Used by our Troops". Better than Fair condition but wire handles and cup may have some small dings / dents / scratches. May show some signs of having been heated (normal). Canteen cup stove / stand shows minimal to moderate signs of use. May have small dents, dings and scratches or may be slightly mis-shapen (this is normal but the stove still nests properly and easily over the Canteen Cup). May show signs of having been heated. We like to think of this as >60% of New condition. Most of our surplus items fall into this category. Still serviceable for many years and more with normal use. Very Good Used Condition Canteen cup shows minimal signs of wear and light use. Shows little to no signs of having been heated. Better than Good condition. Wire handles and cup are in very good condition. Canteen cup stove / stand shows minimal to no signs of use and no signs of having been heated. May have some scratches or light blemishes from storage and handling but no dents or dings. We like to think of this as >75% of New condition. Excellent Used Condition Canteen cup shows hardly any signs of wear and little to no use. No signs of having been heated. Wire handles and cup are in in almost new condition. Canteen cup stove / stand shows no signs of use. Any minor scratches or blemishes are from storage and handling only. No dents or dings. We like to think of these as >85% of New Condition. New or New never issued are either brand new with tags and / or packaging or in the case of never issued, they may not have tags or packaging and may have some dust or signs of storage / handling but show no signs of ever having been issued or used. Occasionally we get items that don't really fall into above categories (example: wouldn't even consider >40%) and we do sell these to military members for supply turn in of missing items at a cheaper cost, so feel free to ask if that is what you are looking for.
